Day 30

Mum and I aren't talking today. She does things purposely to annoy me. Like making me wear singlets under my clothes and making my baths a freezing temperature of 36.5 degrees. Then when I express my feelings about it she totally ignores me. I get her back by only smiling at my dad.

Day 29

I'm not a fan of slogans on T-shirts. "If you think I'm cute, you should see my mum". Why? Is she cuter than me? I doubt it. She's old and carrying extra baby weight at the moment, so feel free to keep looking at me instead.

Can't believe I'm already 10 weeks old. Before long I'll be in high school, choosing my own outfits and dating a vampire... Let's put it this way, I WON'T be dating anybody that can't fly!

Today I met with the kids from mum's antenatal group. We haven't seen each other since we were embryo's! It's great to reflect on all we've been through; birth, boobs, baths, baby clothes. Personally, I have matured a lot since birth, in fact I'm probably the wisest I'll ever be right now.

It's Sunday afternoon, I'm drinking (breast milk) from a plastic cup in the sunshine, waiting in line for 45mins to use the loo (but I'll probably just do it in my pants) and fighting crowds of tattoo'd Gen Y's in Fedora hats who think Echo & The Bunnymen are a cool 'new' band. Where am I? I'm (NOT) at Laneway Festival.

And no, this is not a food blog, but I do love Yum Cha.

Day 19 - Gonna Dress You Up In My Love

What a night! I'm fairly certain my bottle was spiked with panadol - I don't remember much, but I woke up with a bunch of new bruises on my legs. Unfortunately I have a bit of a hangover so I'm about to get a big bottle of milk, lie back in a hot bath and listen to some classical music. I particularly like the "Like A Virgin" album by an artist called Madonna. It's from last century so it's REALLY old.

Day 18

Something very serious happened today. At approximately 12.35pm EST, a woman wielding a long sharp object and claiming to be a healthcare professional, attacked me. She stabbed me twice, once in each leg and then forced me to drink a drug cocktail. Before I passed out, I saw my life flash before my eyes... Boobs, nappies, gazing at the ceiling, my wasted potential as a world class blogger - it was all so traumatic.

I came to hours later, not knowing where I was and in a pool of my own vomit and urine. I'm ok now and dealing well with the incident, so please hold back on sending flowers and gifts.

I hope my suffering has helped people be aware of the dangers of medical centres.

Day 15

I've always wondered why people buy silver spoons for newborns. Then when I received my own (thanks to my favourite Uncle Poof, I mean Peter) I thought I should do some investigation. As it turns out, they were used by the rich to preserve food and water during a huge rat infestation in England. I'm not so sure. I think it's so people have an excuse to buy expensive things from Tiffany.

Day 14

Today I am two months old. Time really flies when you can't walk, talk, eat solids or drink (booze). I don't think I could have gotten to this important milestone without one very special person - and by person I mean dummy. So thank you to all my dummies: Whitey, Pinky, Yellow and weird one shaped like a ladybug... I couldn't have done this without you.

Day 13

My photographer/mum was too busy baking to spend time with me today and that means I spend the day with dad. It was too hot to do anything so Dad took me to the bottle shop and showed me how to choose a nice bottle of riesling. Personally, I prefer the hint of alcohol that makes it's way through mum's breast milk - you know, like a Kahlua and milk.

Here's the Wall E cake she made for my friend Ellis. She really should stop drinking so much coffee!
