Zahara's bottle

Baby Zahara was spotted in Paris, along with Brad Pitt, with a rather hip looking baby bottle. Well at least I think so. Zahara, as you can see, disagreed because she threw it on the ground. Oh well. If you think it's hip like I do, you can pick one up at Sparkability. It's called the Colors Baby Bottle and it's only $9.50. Not too bad, especially since B. Pitty may be looking for another one right now.

New J&J collection coming out at midnight

Janie and Jack are getting a big giant mega-collection for Easter in their stores tomorrow. Usually this means the stuff goes online at midnight, so if you can stay up that late you'll get a sneak peak before the malls do. If you can't, I'll give you one myself as I have seen it in their books (I'm special). Lots of pretty pinks for girls and lots of flowers. The boys' stuff is blue and green, and the new layette is very pretty (looks similar to the bigger kids). In fact I was holding off on buying a baby shower gift until this came in.

Seal's baby wears Robeez

Remember that really wrinkly baby Seal had a few months ago? Well it now seems to have outgrown that stage in its life, as you can see here. Seal was photographed with the baby and his stepdaughter Leni out and about, and look what the baby wore! Robeez! Everyone's favorite slip-on baby shoe, sold almost everywhere. And if you haven't seen their newest booties, just check out their website. Some seriously cute stuff on there.

Giggle opens more stores

What started in San Francisco as the hippest modern baby shop in town, has made its way across county. Giggle has taken New York City. That's right, baby store Giggle just recently opened two stores, one in Soho and one on the Upper East Side. Now New Yorkers can enjoy one-stop modern baby shopping, since Giggle carries just about everything. Their online store rocks too, if you can't get to NYC or the Bay area.

Dream Wish Baby . . . Naturally

"I promise the ocean . . you will hear the beating of it's heart against the shores. I promise the forests . . you will share the whispers of their pines."

These inspiration words from Lisa Humphrey's book, "A Mother's Promise", got me thinking. Like all parents, I am concerned about the safety of children in today's world; and the condition of our planet for our children's children. I had heard of natural baby products . . but wasn't sure if it made a difference. A few google searches later, I became a believer. One thing lead to another, and to another, and so my natural baby venture began. My new site www.DreamWishBaby.com is dedicated to a baby's seventh sense, purity. Join me, in honoring "A Mother's Promise", the spirit within us all.

It's funny how one book can be so inspiring. Now that's a gift of reading! Thank you Lisa (and David Danioth, illustrator, too).

Jacadi's New Crib

Jacadi's 2006 Nursery catalog will be coming out with their Spring/Summer line soon and they've got some pretty neat stuff in there. One of them is the above "see-through" crib. It's not very big, but it's way cool looking. The baby can see out, and you of course can see in at all times. The crib goes with all their crib linens, including the new lines. Avaiable in the spring.

*note* This is a European crib and conforms to their safety standards.

Rod Stewart wears a Whoozit

Rocker and dad can mix well. At least for Rod Stewart it can. Seen here with baby Alastair, Rod is shown wearing his son's toy Whoozit as a pants accessory. Quite a step down from Versace belts. Rod and wife Penny were out shopping when the press snapped up these pictures, which can be seen on German tv station RTL's website. They've got all kinds of photos, including one of Rod and Penny with their blue and yellow Bugaboo Cameleon.

Rod is also pictured carrying the baby in a Graco Snugride. The other toy shown is from Lamaze, but I don't think it's sold anymore. They've replaced it with a different Octopus toy.

*Edit* Greg at Daddytypes is right. He is kind of daring you to look at his crotch.

Martha's Baby Gear

I wonder if these were designed in prison?

I kid, I kid. No nasty Martha hate mail please. Anyhow, Martha Stewart makes some pretty stuff. And over the past few years, she has made some pretty baby stuff. Check out some of the chic gear on her website, including this cute-as-a-button Basic Baby Kit. Of course, like all things Martha you have to make it yourself. No freebies. However, it looks fairly easy (if you're crafty) and it's the nicest looking safety/health set I've seen so far. Check it out at MarthaStewart.com

(note: I'm talking about the stuff on her website, not the Kmart brand. They are actually separate things all together.)

Oeuf gets a dresser

Modern baby company Oeuf is expanding its furniture line. Their stylish crib, which came out last year, has apparently done so well that now they've added a dresser. Before, the changer was attached to the crib and sold separatly. They're still selling the changer on its own, but now they've got a pretty little matching dresser you can place it on as well. Sold at Sparkability.

Charlie Sheen is making kids' clothes?

I know celebrities like to make extra money by designing their own clothing line, but this one really threw me. Actor and sometimes bad boy, Charlie Sheen, is going to design clothing for kids. Girl kids. Sheen has teamed up with his friend Michael Bernes to produce a 75-piece clothing line for girls ranging in price from $20 - $80. The hip clothes go on sale next month at LA boutique Kitson.

The clothes were apparently inspired by Sheen's own three daughters.

Babystyle gets some new clothes for spring

Trendy store babystyle has some new looks out. This season, they've totally remade their First Wardrobe layette pieces. Cream is out and white is for the new looks, which include a lap bodysuit for the first time ever (pictured above) and a diaper cover. All the colors are new as well. Some other new patterns include butterfly blossoms for girls and fun fishies for boys.

Expect their new catalog out soon.

Britney makes Combi cry

Or at least they should be crying.

Stroller and baby gear company Combi makes such cool stuff. In fact, their carseat the Connection (owned by Spears) is one of the best infant seats around. It has a five point harness, special foam in the headrest for impact protection, and it's got LATCH. And guess what else? It's not that freakin complicated to put a baby in! Just lay the kid down, buckle the top harness, and then put the five little sections together at the bottom. Combi even has a virtual demo on their website.

Yet for some reason Brit, who spent $150 for the seat, didn't even try. Poor Combi. This isn't the celebrity rub they wanted.

*edit* It has been reported elsewhere that Britney owns another carseat in addition to this one. I cannot confirm that. The Combi Connection is the only one I have seen her with.

Gwen shops in style

Gwen Stefani and her husband Gavin Rossdale sure know how to shop. The pair recently were spotted at the chic London store Elias and Grace, a baby and maternity shop, where the couple spent 13,000 pounds (around $26,000!). Gwen adored the clothing by French baby company Petit Bateau and bought pretty much the entire range in all different sizes and colors (neutral colors, mostly). Gwen also stocked up on maternity wear by Vivienne Westwood and See By Chloe. Nice choices.

Gwen plans to start her own line of maternity clothing soon.

The Maxi Cosi Tobi

Maxi Cosi's newest child seat, the Tobi, is made for parents in a hurry. That's what the company is saying about it's newest invention, which was designed by experts in child safety to be quick and east to use. How does it work? Automatic seat belts! Yes, the safety belts on the seat open and close automatically with the touch of a button. When the belts have been fastened on the baby, the green ‘All-clear' button tells you that your child have been secured safely and properly. Too bad Maxi Cosi still hasn't made it over here yet. You can of course order them from Baby Care nl and also Baby Concierge will ship to the USA.

Over the Rainbow

The Wizard of Oz is one of those movies! My mother remembers when it was first released, and whenever it played on television (in the sixties), she would let us stay up late and make us cinnamon toast. And my two girls . . . Halloween . . . Ruby Red Slippers . . . sound familiar? We all have our Dorothy memories, yet somehow I wonder why our family pet is a Cairn Terrier? So of course I had to get the whole line of Cuddle Factory's Wizard of Oz Beanie Characters for the shop. How could I choose between Dorothy, Tin Man, Scarecrow, Lion, and Glenda? For all us OZ fans, follow the yellow brick road to our store link Recurrent Dreams : http://estore.websitepros.com/805672/Detail.bok?no=93

Not so Desperate Housewives

I am always excited, when I get a new item in the shop. Especially when it's an asian inspired brocade "Kecci's Shanghai Mommy Bag"! It is similar to Petunia Pickle Bottoms, the celebrity status diaper bag, but a fraction of the price, at $58! Lynette (Desperate Housewives) can keep her $150 Petunia Pickle Bottom Bag. Life is different away from Wisteria Lane, but if Gabrielle saw our Shanghai Bag she would definitely use it as a yoga / spa bag. Then she would treat herself to a facial! View it my online store, Recurrent Dreams. http://estore.websitepros.com/805672/Detail.bok?no=72

The newest creation from Skip Hop is the Pronto Mini Changer, a portable changing station that's small enough to fit in a diaper bag or attach to a stroller. The changer comes with a wipe-clean and removable chaning pad complete with head pillow, a translucent wipes case, a large mesh pocket, and a front zipper pocket.
