Best & Co. for the fall

Arriving in my mail today was newest catalog from Best & Co. The Greenwich, CT store founded and owned by Susie Hilfiger (wife of Tommy) now has out their fall collection. Called the Whimsical Windsor Collection, their clothing this season was inspired by Susie's own personal collections from Duke and Duchess of Windsor's estate. Those things can also be seen in the catalog, as the photos were taken at her home.

New Seaon at Jacadi

French clothing store for kids, Jacadi, has in their winter collection. You can buy online now or pick up a new catalog in one of their 30 stores in the USA. Lots of new things this season, including a bunch of stuff for babies. I've always like this store. Their clothing lines always live up to exceptations. I think the winter stuff is just darling.

New From Graco

The Mosaic travel system from Graco has now hit stores in both the UK and the USA. Billed as a lightweight stroller, the Mosaic comes with a Snugride carseat that attaches to it. And even though its small, the Mosaic includes a large storage pocket, a parent cup holder, and compact folding. Available at most stores carrying Graco

Cute Baby Frame

I was sent this cute little frame by the company that produces it, Liquid. They are a personalized gift company out of Ohio that makes frames, wall letters, and other neat things in metal. They recently opened a new online store where they sell some very pretty baby frames like the one above, so check them out!

Brit's baby gifts

Britney Spears's much celebrated baby shower on August 6th that included a North African dinner, rose petals, and even a small shooting of a reporter, has been recaped in this week's PEOPLE. The story includes photographs of the event, including the above picture.

Some of the gifts included a white wrought-iron bassinet from her mom, a car seat, a stroller, an infant bathtub, lots of stuffed animals and tiny togs that were all conveniently gender-neutral. No names of specific products are included in their online article, but the basket in the picture from PEOPLE is from Bonpoint. The cradle shown in another picture is a Corsican Cradle.

Bare Babies gets some cool new stuff

Online webstore Bare Babies has some new loot. They are now selling the Safari Peg Perego collection, with strollers and such in rich khaki with black contrast print. Not sure what's so safari about that, but none the less it looks great. BB also has in some nice new Britax carseats with brand new prints like Luau, Aloha, Puma, Mosaic, and Zebra. I guess everybody's going exotic this year.

Also in stock are Recaro carseats. Recaro is well-known for their manufactoring of car and truck seats as well as custom racing shells. At this time they are selling two boosters and one convertible seat.

New Baby Uggs

Ugg, the must-have shoe of the past couple years, has a new baby shoe out for fall. While they're still keeping the Erin bootie around, it will be joined by the Boo bootie. Boo is less of a boot than Erin and more of a shoe. It's available so far in Pink and Brown (probably there are more colors but these are the only ones listed). Trendy LA boutique Kitson has them out now for purchase.

Babystyle is getting the new Bugaboos!

Babystyle is getting ready to release the Bugaboo Gecko and Cameleon next month. With the Frog fading away, the internet's most loved baby store will be among the first to carry the new styles. The Gecko's retail price will be $649, while the Cameleon will go for $879. The Cameleon is more than the Frog, but it has new features so I guess it's worth it. The Gecko is suppose to be more lightweight and basic, hence the lower price.

Carnie's Lola Love Tigex!

Singer Carnie Wilson's daughter Lola loves European brand Tigex, according to an article in this month's Child Magazine. Carnie says that she fell in love with the brand after being given one as a gift. While Tigex is mostly sold in Europe, there is now a Tigex USA and the brand is being sold at baby outlets like BuyBuyBaby and Baby Universe.

It's Our Birthday!

Happy Birthday to us! BabyChic101 will be one year old on August the 19th, and to help celebrate we have teamed up with Zutano in order to give out gifts! That's right, we are giving out a gift for OUR birthday. Britax's Decathalon

The Decathalon from Britax is being billed as the carseat that "has been designed to take the Roundabout and the Marathon a step further". And it does. The Decathalon allows babies to be rear facing up to 33 lbs, instead of 20 lbs like most seats. And if you didn't know, rear facing with a five point harness is the safest position in to be in a carseat. The next safest position is forward facing with a five point harness. The Decathalon allows children to do this up until 65 lbs, unlike most carseats that only go up to 40 lbs.

And if that's not a good enough selling point, look at the cool colors! I think this one at Bare Babies is the cutest one I have seen. Much better than the Babies R Us color. So check it out there.

What's a baby shower without a shooting? Boring!

Lovely Britney had a wonderful baby shower last Saturday in Malibu at the home of a friend. Everyone had a grand ole time. Well everyone except photographer Brad Diaz. Brad was one of about 15 paparazzi stationed at the foot of the Malibu home's driveway when suddenly he was shot in the leg with a pellet gun. His injuries were descibed as "less than minor", however Diaz is still of course angry. He claims that one of Brit's bodyguards is the one who shot him, although police could not confirm that. Spears' security team informed police that the pop star was attending a baby shower in her honor and said they were not involved in the shooting.

No word yet on what Britney got, but we will keep you informed!

New at Baby CZ

Baby CZ has gotten in their fall/winter line. New this season are the bigger sizes, with clothing now going up to age eight. Also a lot of new styles and colors for this season, lots of brights and primaries. Especially with the bigger kids. I really like the older girls' stuff, as well as the infants' cashmere line.

Baby CZ is loved by stars like Gwyneth Paltrow and also has been featured in a ton of magazines.

Britney and Angelina shop at Kitson

Star moms Angelina Jolie and Britney Spears both swept up baby gear at LA boutique Kitson this week. Angelina's friends bought gifts for her new daughter Zahara, including Trumpette's Jungle Critters Sock Set (above), an Amber Hagan Glitterati bodysuit, and several little onesies's with cute little sayings on them such as "If you think I'm cute, you should see my mommy" and "Brad Spitt". I guess that's a cute little spoof on not-her-daddy Brad Pitt.

Britney opted to shop herself, buying two blue onesies with sayings like "My Family Tree is Full of Nuts" and "I'd Rather Be Getting a Tattoo". I had no idea that they made such stupid baby clothing. Brit also accidently exposed herself getting out of the car, but I guess that's not a big deal since (as she pointed out) she is a nut.

Draw-It-On Dolls are just too cool. They come with their own pens so your little one can color their clothing, which is made of water resistant paper. They were designed by artist Merav Flam who, according to Modern Seed where they are sold, "brings into each of her designs that special touch that makes them so lovable and irresistible." They retail for about $40 a piece and come in a boy and girl.
