New Baby Dior

Dior's baby line has sprung into spring. They've updated their website with the newest fashion for babies and kids, which really looks great this year. You have to go to the women's site first and then click on baby. They use flash media, which mostly I hate, but in this case it works out ok.

You can purchase Baby Dior online at the UK's Childrens Salon. They will ship internationally, which is good since Baby Dior isn't easy to come by in the USA.

*I will be going out of town on Friday and I will not return until a week from Saturday. Do not expect any new posts until next weekend at the earliest.

Stars want picture bags!

Gina Alexander Bags are a hot item for star mommies at the moment. Claudia Schiffer has the Kayla Wristlet purse with husband Matthew Vaughn and daughter Clementine's pictures on it. And former Melrose Place and DAYS star Lisa Rinna has her two daughters' picture splashed across the front of her Fairfax Bag.

Gina even has an entire section on her site dedicated to pictures of stars who own her bags. They are just made for mommies either, as you can pretty much get a picture of anything you want on your bag, makeup kit, or photo book. Some people even have ones of their pets.

Nikkitabella Baby Spring/Summer

Ex-Gucci designer Nikki Doss started her baby clothing line Nikkitabella Baby last year and already it's taken off bigtime! The spring and summer lines are now available to be viewed online and are also now being sold in some of London's hottest shops including mega-department store Selfridges. It's also made it's way into it's first USA store, New York's Michelle Varian.

Playtime while you wait

Sam & Bellie knows that kids need a little something more to play with than your average crayon and coloring paper while you wait for 2 hours at Olive Garden to get a table. That's why they invented the Chalk Mat. These unique mats are portable, practical but above all, chic and stylish. They roll up, wipe off, and are ready for the next trip before you can say "Outback".

Grace Paik, the founder states, " I design children's accessories that I would love my children to wear, and to make parents' lives easier-but with style." This is where her chalkmats come in: portable to tote in your bag, practical, creative but above all stylish. "My husband and I love to dine out in the DC area, but all the places we'd like to go aren't very kid-friendly, and when you bring three kids along, it is not a relaxing evening. That is how I came up with the chalkmat. It took me months to design the product. Now when we go out, our kids ask for the mats. They play games on it and doodle while we wait for the food."

Check out the chal mat as well as Sam and Bellie's other cool stuff on their website.

Modern Euro Chair

I first saw the Kuster Highchair today in the John Lewis catalog that came with my Junior Baby & Pregnancy Magazine. This totally stylish chair was designed in Europe for modern parents to be both good looking and practical. It features a wipeable base, a five point harness, and detachable wooden tray. Comes in many cool colors and while it's not available on this side of the pond yet, I believe that John Lewis ships here.

They've got a lot of stuff from toddlers and kids, as well as the Le Kit Francais for babies. Also check out some of their cool Under The Nile wear.

Tutti Bella to carry Room Seven

Started in Holland in 1995 by designer Brecht Olsthoorn, (daughter of the founders of Oilily), Room Seven clothing is now available in the States. And online retailer Tutti Bella is carrying it. Room Seven, much like Oilily's other spinoffs, still has the same whimsical designs and patterns and is still of course highly priced. There aren't very many pieces yet on Tutti Bella, but what they have is pretty cute. Room Seven also makes bedding in Europe, but that probably won't be sold here.

Bugaboo, a star unto itself

A French magazine recently did an article on the Bugaboo stroller and it's popularity with the stars. Where have they been? Every freakin star in Hollywood with a child under 3 has a Bugaboo. It's more common in Beverly Hills than a Mercedes Benz. And while I adore Bugaboo myself, I think it's getting a bit redundant. I'd like to see some variety. It seems everyone is copying each other when it comes to baby gear. Will it ever end? Or will Bugaboo slowly take over the world? I guess we'll have to wait and see....

Cradle Couture

Need some help designing your nursery? Too busy to shop or maybe you're just not the decorating type? Then join me in giving a warm welcome to a new baby service that's sure to knock your socks off! Darling Digs is the brainchild of Doryn Wallach, who worked with the BEHIND THE SCENES design team of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and also worked as movie set decorater. Ms. Wallach created Darling Digs because she saw how busy her pregnant friends were before the arrival of their babies and how they were frustrated by the lack of customization in children’s room décor. Doryn creates warm environments that are both fun and sophisticated and catered to each couples taste whether modern or traditional.

Best of all she provides a service where if you don't know the sex of your baby, the doctor can let Ms. Wallach know and she'll have the room ready for you when you come home from the hospital! Now that's service! And that's not all! Darling Digs will shop for everything from diapers to clothing, and have it all ready for delivery if you're too busy to shop.

Doryn uses products from Bellini, Bograd Kids, Kravet, Robert Allen, Fabricut, and Pottery Barn Kids just to name a few. She services the New York City, Los Angeles, Westchester and Fairfield Counties area and can arrange things from stores around there.

Since this is their grand opening, Darling Digs will actually do 2 rooms, free of their services in Manhattan only. Moms must be due before August 1 and can contact me (Patty) directly if they are interested.

Sami chooses Bellini

Alison Sweeney, better known as Sami on Days of Our Lives, recently showed off her nursery for son Ben to US Magazine. Alison choose celeb favorite Bellini to do her nursery. She showed off $779 crib with custom bedding from Blauen. All of Alison's pretty white furniture came from Bellini and she opted for a custom ariplane mural with Ben's name on it. Also pictured in Alison's nursery are a blue and white cat from BlaBla Knits, and a Pancake Bear and a musical mobile from North American Bear co.

Baby Ben is wearing Margery Ellen.

Elisabeth's stylish kid

Former Survivor and current host of the View, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, recently showed off her prize baby buyings to US Magazine. Elisabeth and husband Tim went shopping at New York's famed YoyaMart where they indulged in Bonpoint baby clothing and crib bedding from Dwell. Elizabeth says she has bought a lot of girl things, but still doesn't know what she's having. I'd say she has to be quite wealthy though to be buying $105 dresses from Bonpoint "just in case".

Elisabeth's baby is due next month.

Giggle featured in Child

San Francisco's modern baby store Giggle was featured in this month's Child Magazine as one of the top baby stores. There's a tiny article and several products featured that are sold in the store, like clothing, bedding, and more.

Giggle is a retail store that offers products that are not only healthy, but just plain smarter. They also ventured into online sales a while back and their store is just awesome!

New Junior is worth buying for sure!

April's edition of English child magazine Junior is worth buying. Besides all the regular great stuff in there, they have a 2005 shopping bible included. The 68-Page Shopping Bible lists the best shops, mailorder and internet companies for children's fashion, interiors, essential equipment, and much more. I got the 2004 one last year and I love it! It's great to have if you are traveling abroad and have no clue where to shop.

The magazine is already out in England and you can order it online (with shipping to the USA), or just wait a really long time for Barnes and Noble to get it in.

La La Ling grows a little more

Los Angeles based La La Ling has gorwn in it's inventory. I'd list all the new brands they carry since the last time I went there, but there are so many you'll have to check it out for yourself. They are even stocking hard to find stuff like Neopolita, No Sugar Added, and Cotton Caboodle.

La La Ling is a contemporary baby lifestyle boutique providing Los Angeles with a unique and fresh hub of great fashion, arts, and culture for cool kids and babies. The retail store is located 1810 N. Vermont Ave. and the e-store is open 24 hours a day!

Stella's baby boy

Miller Alasdhair James Willis is only a few weeks old and already his mother Stella McCartney has gotten him some good loot. Miller was photogrpahed with mom sporting a pure cashmere blanket from The Nursery Window.

Located down the street from Harrods, The Nursery Window is a favorite of Gwyneth Paltrow and Sadie Frost. It's a small shop, but they sell all kinds of nursery gear and children's room furnishings. They also have some really nice people working there, unlike many other upscale shops. If you're ever in London, it's worth a visit.

The Body Glove

The Body Glove Infant Carrier, for land AND sea.

Now that's a catchy little phrase. A carrier that works both in the pool as well as on dry land, this thing has got it all! It's insulating properties help keep baby's body temperature warm, in the water or even in cold weather. Comfortable to wear, easy to get the baby in an out of, and you can wear it on your front or hip!

The adjustable straps allow to adjust to baby's changing height while ensuring a secure fit. And the carrier molds to baby body, assuring comfort.

Available online at One Step Ahead.

Brooklyn Beckham's Birthday

Today, little Brooklyn Joseph Beckham is 6 years old.

And like all of his other birthdays, he will celebrate in style. Although this year, the present was a bit strange. Brooklyn got a a pair of dazzling diamond earrings, which are a scaled down version of the £75,000 earrings his father David Beckham wears. Earrings on a 6 year old boy?

Brooklyn is also being treated to a £10,000 party at the family's villa in Madrid, with fire-eaters, clowns, and jugglers as well as a host of celebs and their kids. In the past, Brooklyn's birthdays have included a £10,000 party at a Brittish hotel and ice sculptures (1st), rental of a pub and a play place next to it (2nd), rental of an entire movie theatre (3rd and 5th), and a giant marquee on his family's English estate with a pony for a gift (4th).

Cute Little Onesies!

I first saw Monseters With Sideburns at Barneys New York in Beverly Hills last week. Such a strange name for such cute clothing, but I just ate it up! The onesies are way too cute and I was wondering if they were ever going to show up anywhere else.

Well, no need to fear, as Pampered Tot has now acquired the label. The online store is growing by the day, now selling MWS as well as a lot of new stuff. So go check them out this week!

Cindy Crawford at chic Malibu baby store

Stylish model mom Cindy Crawford knows exactly where the Malibu rich and famous go to shop for their kids. 98% Angel is baby and kids boutique tucked away off Pacific Coast Highway at the Malibu Country Mart. It's not easy to find, unless you're familiar with Malibu. But once inside, you'll discover a range of Petit Bateau, Jean Bourget, and many other high end European brands. They also sell 1001 different kinds of socks and also shoes and tights. Lots of stuff for babies there, but stuff for the big ones as well.
