Jacadi Spring Line

French childrens' clothier Jacadi has introduced its spring line of clothing. It's only up on the French site right now, the American one is a bit behind. They have lots of cool stuff to celebrate their 25 year anniversary. The 2005 nursery line is up as well, but sadly they didn't put up the strollers and carseats just yet. I think the new stuff should be in stores in the USA by April, or at least that's what they said at the last store I was in.

Stylish Paper For Tots

Chelsea Paper has some of the prettiest paper I have ever seen. Especially the baby stuff. Birth announcements, shower invites, adoption announcements, thank you cards, and even neato stuff you'd never find anywhere else like holiday birth announcements for the lucky baby, and baptism invitations.

Chelsea Paper is out of New York City, and has three divisions. The first, ChelseaPaper.com is the online store, letting you look through all kinds of stationary and create online proofs to see if you like it. Ordering online is quick and secure, and gets you your stationary in no time! The second division, Chelsea Notes, is the company's own brand of stationary, originally created for local charities and groups. The third is Chelsea Paper Studio, their store in Manhattan, that provides one-on-one service and lots of stuff to see.

If you are in NYC, go check them out at 136 East 57th Street. And if you are no where near NYC, check out the lovely online store.

If you thought the Oko trike was cool....

Check out FAO Schwarz's version! The BUBBLE GO CAR not only has it's own UV protection canopy and push bar for parents, but it has a harness seat belt and no-tip device, making it one of the safest toys out there. Plus it's way more stylish and fun to ride with it's passenger/toy friend in the front. Also has a little carrying bag on the back for other toy storage.

Available at FAO SCHWARZ stores and online.

Gus and Max making Stokke bedding

Famed modern baby bedding company Gus and Max are the latest company to design bedding for Stokke's Sleepi crib. I saw the line at the Juvenile Shop while I was in LA this week. It looks great, much better than the old stuff from Cocalo. And there are lots of options to choose from.

Stokke has also come out with several new bedding lines of their own, which can be viewed on their website.

*I have recieved a lot of press kits in the mail and I am trying desperately to get to them. I am very sorry I am so behind on this website, but so much has come up and I have been out of town for the past few days. I hope to be all caught up by the weekend.

Gap Baby Bedding

The intro on the website says "Introducing Baby Gap Bedding", however they did make baby bedding before. It's just been quite a few years. But it appears that they are back at it again. The retail chain Baby Gap is now selling three lines of complete baby bedding. Barnyard, Country Garden, and Choo Choo are the names of the lines, which include bumpers, quilts, crib sheets, dusters, blankets, and even matching bears.

The pictures on the website aren't realy clear, so I guess we'll have to wait until it appears in stores to see exactly what it's going to be like.

Modern Diaper Pail

Vipp, a family-run Danish company, makes trash bins. Much loved trash bins. And now, they make one for those of us who want more than the diaper genie and the diaper champ.

Introducing the Vipp diaper pail. It's corrosion resistant and fireproof, a two-gallon capacity, and a durable rubber lining to keep the moisture of diapers inside the can. It's also available in more colors than a Bugaboo, including stainless steal. It's sold online at Garnet Hill.

Liv Tyler at Buy Buy Baby

Liv Tyler took little Milo out for a day of shopping at New York City's Buy Buy Baby store. No word on what she bought there, but this is supposidly the place where Liv picked up her Baby Bjorn carrier that Milo is shown in, as well as her black Bubagoo and Graco Snugride in Metropolitan.

Liv has also hired a personal trainer to get back in shape now that the baby is here. David Kirsch has revealed his A-list client is exercising for two hours each day and sticking to a strict diet.

This is suppose to keep the wipes from changing colors and getting dry. It accommodates pop-up baby wipes, warms the wipes in 30 mintues, and has a push-up mechanism that makes the wipes quickly available. Due out in stores that sell Combi soon!

Will Bonpoint's website ever open?

They're a great store with boutiques all over the globe. They're French, they one of a kind, and they make some of the most beautiful clothing for kids and babies that I have ever seen. So what's the deal with their website?

For over two years now Bonpoint has had the same place holder for their website. This is far to common in the world of upscale baby clothing. They make a site, but yet never update it more than "Bonpoint: Coming Soon". And I'm not sure what the deal is here, being that is it such a great store and online selling would do wonders for those of us not lucky enough to have one near us.

*Sorry for the lack of updates. I have been ill.

Weird new carseat

Aprica, the Japanese stroller people, have now come out with a carseat. And this is not your mother's carseat....or your friend's....or yours...or anyone's for that matter. The Aprica Euro Turn, which sells for around $1000 (no kidding), is both a an infant carseat, an in-car carrycot, and a child's carseat all built into one! All you have to do is pull the lever on the base and it's the only carseat your child will ever need. And on top of that it has a built in ventilation system that regulates the baby's temperature to prevent over-heating.

Even though it's meant to stay in the car only (can't be used as a travel system or baby carrier), according to Junior Magazine, it is fairly easy to use and extremely safe. It's not available in the USA at the moment, but who's knows? Maybe one day...

The old bathanette

The Brevi Bath Dresser is reminiscent of the old days, when bathing your child used to be a movable experience. Available in the UK and Europe, Brevi's bath can also be used as a changing table and a storage tray. Raised sides for added safety are also a feature to this bath tub on wheels, making it not only a chic option but a safe one as well. Available at Mothercare in the UK.

Super Nanny: The Book

Can't get enough of Jo Frost on tv, telling the bad kids how it is and setting them straight in less than hour? Well now you can get her book and try some of her techniques out on your bad little ones. "Supernanny : How to Get the Best from Your Children" is now available on Amazon as well as in bookstores nationwide. I flipped through it at Borders last week and of course, it has some great stuff in there. However, there was the occassional Michael Jackson-esque idea like teaching a child to potty by going to the potty with them. But other than that, its a nice read and has some interesting advice in it. It is pretty large and heavy though.

Contest Update

We are recieving quite a few entries for the contest and while that is a good thing, several have had to be disqualified. I am going to post the rules here that are being totally disregarded, as stated on the rules page, in hopes that this will stop. If you have followed the rules, then I thank you and you do not have to read this.

If you haven't, then you might want to read these. Even though you can only sumbit one time, it may come in handy for future contests. I am sorry to have to post this, but there are rules in this contest and they need to be followed.

- To enter, fill out the information requested completely and submit it. This means we need a phone number and a name or we can't reach you if you win. Also it means doesn't just vote for one thing and that's all. That is an obvious way to cheat and we don't tolerate cheating.

- Entry for contest award is limited to one per individual. Multiple entries will not increase your chance of winning and may be grounds for disqualification. Only one entry per household. We've had a bit of a problem here and I can tell you that anyone who voted more than once (we check ips)will be disqualified.

Also there was a mistake on the rules page where it said you will be contacted by regular mail or email if you win. You will be contacted by phone or email if we cannot reach you by phone.

And while this was not stated on the rules page, I thought it was a given. Only vote for the products listed above the voting booth.

Baby Burberry Spring

Spring is in the air for the plaid people across the sea. Burberry has already got out their new line, available at Neiman Marcus, and the kids stuff is too cute! The above picture is of the baby girl dress and panties, but there are also rompers out for boys and absolutely beautiful dresses for older girls! Nemain Marcus also has out some other cute stuff for spring. You can check it out on the web now.

New Silver Cross Stroller

The Towne Collection from Silver Cross Pram is getting a makeover. It's now more lightweight, easier to fold, and had a different set of wheels. I like the new look, as the old Towne stroller just seemed so big and bulky and the wheels were really weird. But this one is great, the fabric looks better and overall it is a much more chic stroller. They won't be available until this spring, but you can bet that they will be sold wherever Silver Cross is carried.

Babystyle opts for tie-dye

The new baby essentials collection for spring at Babystyle is going to look just a little different. Now instead of plain basics, you get basics with tie-dye. One pieces, rompers, blankets, hats, shirts, pants, and many other cool Babystyle get-ups are tie-dyed in white and other colors for spring. And of course if you don't like it, you can always get the old stuff, which will never be gone.

Look for Babystyle to be opening some new stores soon as well.

Terra Traditions makes clothing

Album company Terra Traditions has started designing baby clothing to go along with their album designs. One pieces with the same prints as their book counterparts are being sold on Tutti Bella and at retail stores. They start at size 3-6 months and are sold as part of a gift set with a brag book. And at only $36.85, its quite a steal for a Terra Traditions book. The photo albums and baby books usually go for a lot more.

*Contest Update* We are getting a lot of submissions now and thats a good thing. But please remember to read the RULES! I'm sure most people won't cheat, but its important to stress to everyone that it won't be tolerated.
